Dr. Arie Benchetrit is a certified plastic surgeon specializing in aesthetic surgery of the breast, body and face. Dr. Benchetrit has performed well over 1500 breast procedures and uses cohesive silicone gel and saline implants, both round and ?tear drop? (anatomical) shaped. The majority of his patients opt for the latest Natrelle ?Inspira? cohesive gel implants, which are more natural feeling and far less likely to ?ripple? than other implants.
Dr. Benchetrit schedules his patients for a minimum of 40 minutes for their initial breast surgery consultation. After taking a detailed medical history, he likes to ask the patient about their esthetic goals in terms of the eventual shape and size of the breast that the patient desires. Dr. Benchetrit believes in explaining every option available to the patient as well as the pros and cons, risks and expected results of each option. After he has examined the patient and has gone through the sizing choices with actual implant samples, he will make his recommendations based on the patients own wishes and his experience.
Dr. Benchetrit is recognized as a leader in his field and has been an invited speaker at scientific conferences all over the world. He is double board certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in both plastic surgery and general surgery, having received all of his training at McGill University. He has been in practice as a plastic surgeon since 1991 in Pointe-Claire, a suburb of Montreal, and is affiliated with the Lakeshore General Hospital. Dr. Benchetrit is a member of the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and is vice-president of the Canadian Laser Aesthetic Surgery Society.
