Dr. Kim Meathrel is a Royal College of Surgeons of Canada certified plastic surgeon and a member of the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons. She completed her medical school at Queen’s University and 5 years of plastic surgery residency at McMaster University. This was followed by a fellowship at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Kim Meathrel is a Plastic Surgeon certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and a member of the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons. She completed her medical degree at Queen’s University and five years of plastic surgery residency training at McMaster University. This was followed by a one year plastic surgery fellowship at the University of Toronto.

Currently, Dr. Meathrel is attending staff at both the Kingston General Hospital and Hotel Dieu Hospitals in Kingston, Ontario. As well, she is an assistant professor of surgery at Queen’s University. As an academic plastic surgeon, Dr. Meathrel is entrusted with the responsibility of educating future physicians and therefore, is always up-to-date on the latest procedures and advances in the field of plastic surgery.

Dr. Meathrel is a busy mother who understands that in this modern world we are all under multiple demands and pulled in many directions; it is easy to forget about taking care of ourselves. She would like to help you take the time to focus on you and help you achieve the “you” that you want to be.

Dr. Meathrel offers surgical and nonsurgical consults at her private office, U Cosmetic. All nonsurgical and local anesthetic treatments are offered at U Cosmetic. Currently surgeries requiring general anesthetic are completed at either Kingston General Hospital or Hotel Dieu Hospital. However, U Cosmetic is expanding and will become the first private full surgical center in Kingston, Ontario. OR facilities are currently under construction with a planned opening date in early 2009.
