Dr. Thompson is an accredited Plastic Surgeon with 15 years experience. She brings a uniquely female perspective to the art of cosmetic surgery.

Dr. Thompson has practiced in the Ottawa-Gatineau area since 1998. She is an active member of the medical staff at the CSSS-Gatineau. She joined the Queensway-Carleton Hospital from 2007-2010. Dr. Thompson is the former chief of the plastic surgery service at the Gatineau Hospital, having held the position from 2003-Sept 2011. She is also a past member of the Royal College examination committee in Plastic surgery, having served from 2004-2011.

Dr. Thompson cares about her patients. She listens. She wants her patients to be satisfied with the result of any surgery or treatment she performs. She is well aware that all plastic surgery procedures, be they surgical or non-surgical, can be stressful. She strives to make the experience the best it can be.

Dr. Thompson was joined by Dr. Louis-Philippe Germain in November 2006. Their completely bilingual office is the Gatineau Cosmetic Surgery Clinique. Breast surgery is one of Dr. Thompson’s areas of interest. She performs cosmetic and non-cosmetic breast surgery. This includes breast augmentation, breast lift or reduction, and breast reconstruction after mastectomy. She will see you on 2 occasions before you embark upon your chosen breast procedure. The first visit is the consultation where you will discuss your concerns and learn about the surgical possibilities. She will show before and after photographs during your consultation. You will make your final decision during your second visit with Dr. Thompson, after you have had time to reflect on the various surgical possibilities.
