Hi Ladies - yes - my cosult is on May 10th - I sometimes thought it would never get here!! I will certainly let you know all that was discussed - as I have a million questions to ask - & I'm only hoping he has all the answers.
Terri's help through her experience has been an eye opener - but I had another friend who went through all of this - so I think I know what to expect. ( )
If the other side is going to cost $7,000 - Not sure if my husband would go for that - or me for that matter.
Will keep you posted & thanks so much for your interest - it's very comforting - believe me!!

Hey, May 10th is my b/f and mom's Birthday
What's this about paying $7,000 for one side That's the price of BOTH sides getting done.
Also, OHIP will pay for both sides if your PS is willing to go to bat for you. If I can get mine done, then I don't see why you can't
May 10th May 10th Marilyn's going on May 10 _________________ Linda

Hi again Linda - I thought one of you gals would get back to me - or did you not read my new post - I'm off & running (maybe walking).
Really on pins & needles - as I don't know how long to order the cohesive gel implants or when I will get a call back.
Anyway - just wanted to let everyone know that I am going ahead with all of this & will surely need all of your wonderful support.
Love to all,
Marilyn |

well she is going for a consult, and it won't take long to get in no matter when she books, but she has to have another colonoscopy before they go ahead, she has been putting of the colonoscopy because when she had her first one the anaesthetic made her go deaf in one ear and the doc is worried about it taking the hearing in the other aswell,i hope i dont scare anyone from getting put under,i think it's a rare complication, she went to the hearing specialist and she is completly deaf in her right ear,no sound gets through at all,so once she gets it over with she can move onto the reconstruction process.
maybe your story will inspire her! _________________ 29 years old

Hi again Ashlee- Sorry to hear about the complications your mother had of having the colonoscopy (I am having one in December!!) makes me a bit concerned, but my surgeon who performed the mastectomy said it was very necessary for me to have this test - as there is a link between colon cancer & breast cancer - makes you hold your breath!!
Wish her well for me & anyway I can be of help to her regarding the breast reconstruction - I am only too happy to spur her on!!
Hugs.

Sorry to hear all that your Mother has been through -
Please keep in touch - I'm off to bed now - it's much later here in the East than where you are.
If she would like to talk to me - I can send you my email address in a private message.
Good Night & all the best dreams for everyone.

Hi again Linda - got an email from friends in France today - very concerned as to me going ahead with this procedure - especially with cohesive gel implants - they send me a link - (& I don't want to scare people about this - as I know everyone is different) but take a look & maybe someone can ease my fears a little.
Thanks to all - here is the link
http://www.breastimplantinfo.org/ & another one they sent

Still have not heard from my ps as yet.
