Hi to all - got the call this morning & they had a cancellation & wanted to know if I would like to go ahead on that date. I was exstatic!!! - also I got an appt to see the Doctor next Monday - so now that my brain has settled in - I can ask the questions - I didn't ask at the consultation.
Wish me luck ladies ,
Hugs to all,

He answered all my questions & is so nice - I am so fortunate to have been recommended to this chap -
So here we go !!!!
I'm shaking in my boots - but am excited as well.
Will talk again soon,
Hugs to all,

I'm so glad you got all your questions answered...it's so important!
I'm also glad to hear it is being done at a hospital. We are a little more complicated than the norm and it's great to have all the specialist at our disposal.
I requested that I stay in the hospital overnight, it was great not to have to come home immediatey - can you ask your PS if it's possible? I highly recommend it!
OMG....I really am excited for you!
PS: I think your COOL - _________________ Linda

Linda ----------- Was at my GP today getting all the info to give to the hospital on Tuesday -
As for staying overnight - I would rather come home as soon as possible.
It's just a stone's throw from where I live - (North York General Hospital) so my PS says - after a couple of hours - you can have your husband pick you up.
Not sure what to expect - If I will be in pain or what - but I think us gals take that - what could be more uncomfortable than having your Whole boob removed.
I'm sure the next few days will go very slowly - I just want to get this first part over with ----It will be so nice to have something where there was nothing
Talk to soon & thanks for keeping in touch - it means a great deal to me.
Hugs,
Marilyn |

Wow - we ALL hear you girl! Just TWO MORE DAYS!!!!!
That's great that your d/h is there for you. I lived quite a distance from the hospital, and you know that my husband passed away a long time ago. I only had my son and he was only 14 at the time. I didn't want him seeing me in any more pain. He saw me go thru surgery, chemo, and radiation - that was enough
I hope you're getting enough sleep with all the excitment about to begin. Keep us posted........I'LL BE THINKING OF YOU ON THE 10TH!!!! _________________ Linda

Hi to all -
Had my pre-op yesterday - was there for three hours - they sure go over you with a fine tooth comb -
All the nurses like my PS - so that's a good sign - getting a bit edgy, but that's alright -
Will be in touch maybe late Friday afternoon or at least on Saturday.
Haven't heard anything from Terri -
Linda - when this is all over - I think we should meet for a coffee or lunch - whatever - I don't think you are very far from where I live.
Thanks for the encouragment - that really really helps -
Till next time,
Hugs to all,
Marilyn |
